The London club need to sign several players ahead of the 2024/25 season as the Hammers were very underwhelming last season, winning just five of their last 25 games.

The east London side don’t have European football and the money they bring with them, so the Premier League club will need to sell to help fund their summer transfer window. Irons may be banking on Lucas Paqueta profiting, however, that may not happen as the Brazilian is in trouble for breaching betting rules.

According to “West Ham Football”, insiders said that West Ham United will have approximately 100 million pounds in expenditure this summer, but needs to sell players to raise more cash. One of the stars mentioned was Ward-Prowse, who only joined the Hammers last summer.

West Ham United said: “Assuming Lucas Paqueta does not leave this summer, West Ham United should have a transfer fee of approximately £100 million.”

“This is based on a budgeted net spend of around £30m for a ninth-place finish this season, plus an additional £30m from the Europa League, plus £40m in player sales, assuming Benny (Sajid Benrah) Horse) was sold for £15m, (Flynn) Downs was sold ((Thilo) Kehrer, who tops at around £15.5m, has sold for £9.5m).

“Further sales of players such as (Nayef) Aged, (Danny) Ings, (Michel) Antonio or James Ward-Prowse will add further funds for summer transfers.”

Will West Ham United sell James Ward-Prowse?

West Ham United should strive to get the most out of James Ward-Prowse rather than sell him

Selling Ward-Prowse would be a crazy decision for West Ham as the midfielder has a lot to offer the London club. The England star is a set-piece wizard who has extensive Premier League experience and has produced numerous goals and assists for the teams he has played for.

The 29-year-old has not been at his best at West Ham United this season, but it should be considered that the London club is his first team outside Southampton.

This is Ward-Prowse’s first campaign in London since his £30m move from Saints last summer and he has better players around him next season, with Julen Lopetegui likely to Getting the most out of the English midfielder.
