Tottenham Hotspur to ‘make an offer’ to sign Hudson-Odoi

The Lilywhites now have four specialist wingers at their disposal after extending Timo Werner’s loan deal for a further year. In addition, they also have Mano Solomon, but he has been out injured since September last year.

As such, it appears Spurs are well resourced on the wing at the moment, but Anj Postkoglu appears to be looking to sign a new winger ahead of next season.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham are interested in signing Hudson-Odoi and are ready to “make an offer” before June 30.

The report states that Nottingham Forest were found guilty of breaching Premier League profit and sustainability rules and need to raise funds to balance the books by selling a number of players before July so they can cash in on him this summer.

Hudson-Odoi flies to Tottenham Hotspur

The Reds could reportedly demand a fee of around £30m to offload their star player, so if Spurs formally express interest, they would be able to sign him on the cheap.

Callum Hudson-Odoi was regarded as one of the best young talents in Europe a few years ago, but injury problems have hampered his development. The Chelsea graduate has recently started to show his best form again following his move to the City Ground, so it appears that the Lilywhites have expressed an interest in signing him after being impressed with his performances.

Hudson-Odoi is a versatile player as he can play on both sides with ease. He is a technically gifted player with the ability to dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas.

In addition, the 23-year-old is very efficient in crossing from the wing and can also complete opportunities. The Forest star is still young and has plenty of time to develop his career.

Therefore, he could be a good acquisition if Tottenham Hotspur purchase him. However, it will be interesting to see if the north London club ultimately choose to take concrete steps to sign him in the upcoming transfer window.
