Barcelona are desperate to raise funds this summer and while a significant number of exits from their starting squad are expected, one of the key avenues they are exploring is selling loan players. Ansu Fati and Clement Lenglet are two men who appear to have no future in Catalonia.

According to “España Football News”, Barcelona will seek Fati’s exit again this summer, while Lenglet has been loaned to Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa in the past two years. There are rumors that Barcelona may offer him a mutual release, realizing that few clubs are willing to pay his current salary.

However, Sport says Barcelona are working to offer the pair the option of traveling to Saudi Arabia. Despite reports of interest from Saudi Arabia, Fati was loaned to Brighton last summer and Lenglet rejected a move to the Middle East, meaning they look unlikely to change their minds this summer. Economically, this would be “very satisfying for all parties.” The Saudi Arabian League is also interested in Rafinha, but Catalan Journal points out that convincing him to leave looks more difficult.

Brighton and Roberto De Zerbi have dodged questions over Fati’s future in recent months, having lost some weight in the squad since suffering an injury in the first half of the season. The 21-year-old has also been linked with a return to his hometown of Sevilla this summer. Meanwhile, Paulo Torres’ recovery has also seen Lenglet drop to the bench at Villa, although he has once again shown this season that he can be a useful defender at the top level.
