In a recent print edition, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness) claimed that Aston Villa are keeping a close eye on Juventus winger Mathias Sule, who spent last season on loan at Frosino Inside. Villa are reportedly interested in signing the Argentinian winger this summer.

Sule performed well on loan at Frosinone last season

The 21-year-old has enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Frosinone, producing a series of eye-catching performances in attack. Sule has made 39 appearances in multiple games for the Italian side this season, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists.

The Argentine starlet has made outstanding contributions in the offensive front. In Serie A, he averaged 2.3 shots, 2.3 key passes and 2.8 dribbles per game. His pass success rate in Italian Serie A is 81.5% (data from whoscored), and his pass success rate in the opponent’s half is even high.

Sule’s current contract with parent club Juventus expires in the summer of 2026. .

MONZA, ITALY – MAY 19: Warren Bondo of AC Monza and Matias Soule of Frosinone on May 19, 2024 The match was played in the Serie A TIM match between AC Monza and Frosinone at the U-Power Stadium in Monza, Italy.
Should Aston Villa sign Sule this summer?

Soule can create some space for himself to shoot and generally generates power through his shots. He is a great ball-carrier and has the vision to create some promising scoring opportunities for his teammates.

The Argentinian prodigy operates primarily on the right wing but can also play as a striker or as a No. 10 if required. However, he is still very green and will need time to prove his worth in the Premier League.

Sule is currently enjoying his football in Italy, but he may need some time to adjust to life at Villa Park if Villa manage to get him in this summer. At 21 years old, he has the potential to become a world-class winger. Therefore, it would be wise for Aston Villa to go all out to recruit Suler during this summer transfer period.
